Take it Easy
photograph mounted on aluminum plates, painted bronze tongue
1999-2000
40 x 30 x 9 inches / 102 x 76 x 23 centimeters
In Take it Easy, from 1999, Gérard slyly mocks his own preoccupations. Here a photograph of the shadowy back of Gérard's own head overlays an aluminum plate. Protruding from it is a bright red three-dimensional tongue.
