Perforated stainless steel, polished iron mirror, acrylic paint, text
2013
325 x 150 centimeter (d); 291 x 135 centimeter (d)
Issoudun, France

This two-part work establishes a tension between the bucolic character of the site and the urbanism of New York, because Water Tanks is also a symbolic evocation of the famous water tanks that hide on the roofs of buildings. Thanks to this telescoping between two types of spaces, two eras, the work encourages reflection and compels the visitor to an imaginary drift all the more effective as an enigmatic poem is affixed to their surface.
